Big news, Olan has discovered his bits. For all of those that are now worrying that we're going to teach him to call them his bits, worry not, we'll do the right thing and say penis, although it's so tempting to go the fun route and use favorites such as; willy, johnson, package, shlong, tool, wiener, dong, etc. I could literally go on all day. Anyways, back to the main point (hee hee) they've been found, and every opportunity he's given he grabs on, and holds on for dear life. So begins a life long love affair :)
He has also as of today become somewhat mobile. Neither he nor his cousin seem to be big crawlers, which is hardly surprising since none of us three girls ever crawled. However today he was having some of the dreaded tummy time when he spotted Io lying down across the room. He pushed himself up on his arms and started pushing. Unfortunately his legs weren't really doing anything so he started going backwards, AWAY from the cat. He found this very frustrating but the harder he pushed the faster he kept going in the wrong direction. Poor thing, he loves that cat! He's also started this bum shuffle thing when he's sitting up, he kind of tries to hop on his rear... which usually eventually makes him topple over. He'll figure it all out sometime!
It's a glorious day here today, 30º and sunny, sunny, sunny. It's about bloody time too! I've been sick with the flu for the past two days so it was nice to finally wake up feeling great and be greeted with such sweet weather. We had a great time today. Went and rescued Gran at the Children's Hospital flea market with a large chai tea misto this morning. She was having a great time selling purses and advising people on style issues. She even impressed one man so much with her advice on an attaché case that he came back with paintings and other things asking her professional opinion. Then we saw Tim and Adam off for a day of golf, Tim just flew in from Vermont for the weekend this morning and then we headed to the park, did some shopping, some smiler riding and playing in the grass. Hopefully this glorious weather will stick around for a bit!

I don't have a boy so may be completely out of it, but what's wrong with using the term "BITS", as well as penis? Bits does imply there is more than one item, which there is! Testicles/Testies is a weird word, and I don't really fancy hearing Olan say "My balls" at a really early age so........there, I've weighed in.
