Brrr, it has been COLD here lately.
Olan and I headed out one of the great outdoor rinks they have here yesterday but Mom was too wimpy to stay for long, Olan seems unfazed by the cold and could stay out foreveeeeeeer. Luckily there's a Starbucks close by so I lured him off the ice with promises of hot chocolate with towers of whipped cream. He entertained me there with stories of how he and Isabelle would be better skaters than everyone and then everyone would come on the ice and ask him to have a band and they would all play (this is a combo of a story I told him about his Aunty Aly and her skating prowess combined with his longing to have everyone he meets ask him to pick up an instrument and join their band).
We next headed to an African drumming workshop where Vitamin O impressed all with his amazing natural rhythm... the boy can hold a beat! I think I see a Ghana Djembes in our near future. The workshop was 2 hours long and this little music lover's attention never wavered.
Finished the day with a haircut at Sharkey's, which is pretty much Disneyland to Olan.
Our only skating shot, it's just too hard to manage when we're on our own!
Lovely smoochable rosy cheeks
Such focus, reserved for important tasks like bringing spoonfuls of whipped cream and chocolate sauce to your mouth!
