Looking back: June 29, 2008

I had the pleasure of being in Ottawa on a visit when Aly & Gilles found out they were expecting Oliver. I love the freaked out/total happiness captured here. And now, almost nine months later, beautiful little Oliver is here, part of their little family!

Whoop! Whoop!

I am absolutely THRILLED to announce the arrival of Oliver Henry. He was born yesterday morning at 11:25, weighing 5 pounds, 6 ounces. He's 18.5 inches long and totally gorgeous.

His Mom, Dad and sister are all over-the-moon and doing well. I'll post some of their pictures, all that I have until I get my hands and camera on him in April.

Olan is very interested in this new cousin business. He keeps telling me that Aunty Aly will take good care of Oliver and that she's his mommy. :)

WoooooooooooooooooooooooooWeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Buh Bye crib!

I surprised Olan with a room transformation today. Gone was the crib and all things baby. This little "toddler" needed some big kid stuff. He seems quite enthusiastic with it all and climbed right up into his new bed tonight, ready to be tucked in. He then instructed me on how to climb in... "one foot first mommy... put it up there... that's right.... oh good! You did it mommy!!!". Hopefully the joy lasts, a nice pregnant couple just came and picked up his crib so there's no going back! It's quite nice to be able to snuggle up with some books together before we snick out the light.

Be Mine!

A belated happy valentine to all those we love and adore. We had a wonderful weekend of love and gave much thanks to all the wonderful people in our lives, we feel very loved! How we will go back to our regularly scheduled programming with less sugar, we're not sure. Luckily Easter is on its way!

The cookie decorating party that Olan thoroughly enjoyed.

Cookie monster!

Baking cupcakes with Gran. He cracked his first egg and didn't spill a drop!

BIG balloons!

A little Valentine insanity :)

Shrimp cocktail enthusiast!

Lamb chops, Olan's favourite! We must always celebrate our love of good food!
