The ladies man
Big news, Olan has a girlfriend.
Her name is Maggie and she's a cutie. Very sharp dresser, beautiful eyes, hair's a little patchy but she's young still. She's a month older than him.
We were over at a friends for a mom's gathering. Olan was sitting on the floor playing with some toys. Maggie started crawling over to check him out. He fell over on his back, she crawled right up to him, opened her mouth wide and planted him a big one. Then she sat back up, gave him another look and then planted him with another smackeroo! The second time she sat up he grabbed her by the bib and pulled her back down. It was hilarious. We were all in hysterics. One of the other moms took some pictures so that you can see the hilarity for yourselves.

The weekend...
I have lots to say but no time to say it all. Isn't that just life lately :)
We had a good but weird weekend. The scary stairs down to the basement were being painted and it basically fumigated the whole flat. Olan and I packed our bags and went to breathe the clean pure air of the burbs. Adam was working all weekend night and day so he just crashed in the relatively fume free officey room when he got a chance.
Olan and I did stuff like going to the opening of the new kids store downtown, uncommon kids. Definite thumbs up from both of us. So nice to have a good kids store downtown. We also went to the lake to help measure for the bunky... well actually to watch the comedy that was my parents working in harmony to measure the space for the bunky ;). It was a glorious day, we had a nice picnic and a nap by the lake. What more could you ask for? Adam was able to tear himself away from work to attend Sunday dinner... it's so nice to have them back again.
We're back downtown now and the staircase is much less scary. Why couldn't our landlord have done that before?

Happy Anniversary!
One year ago today Aly & Gilles tied the knot.
What a year we've all had. It was a fantastic weekend of events and even the weather couldn't dampen our spirits.
Know that we're thinking of you and of all that changes that have come. Here's to many, many more years... some of them a little slower paced maybe ;)
