Then we spent the rest of the day at the park and gardens and ran around getting some errands done. We were in a clothing shop at the mall at one point and there were a group of pretty young teenage girls wearing tight clothes standing around talking. I went to look through a rack of clothes a metre or so away, there was a couple looking through the same rack. Well Olan was fixated by the girls. I was carrying him and if I moved my body so that he couldn't see them he would crane around me trying to catch a glimpse. The entire time he was chatting away and trying his best to be charming. The girls didn't notice him at all which just made him try that much harder. However, the guy who was looking through the rack did notice and I heard him mutter to his girlfriend "is he looking at what I think he's looking at?" and then they were just watching Olan and laughing at all his attention getting antics. Before they left, he walked up to me and said "your son has good taste". It was hilarious. How can an 8 month old already be such a flirt?!? But he is the little bum.
The Birthday boy actually made it home early from work. A first I think? Dad picked us up on his way back from the lake and we made our way to the house. A fun night ensued.... lots of fine, fiiiiiiiine food as well as wine and good conversation. Adam was spoiled and got lots of good gifts... all shirts actually :)
Adam headed out early (6am, the lunatic) and Olan let me sleep in a bit, the angel. We had a nice morning visit with Mom and and Dad and now we're back downtown and I'm deciding what to do with our day once Olan wakes up from his nap.
Waiting for the birthday boy to wake up!
