Eagle watch '09

We drove down to the valley on Saturday to see us some eagles. They didn't disappoint. 

Well, Olan was disappointed that he couldn't ride one... you never know what he going to expect! You just say "want to go see the eagles?" never imagining that he would be expecting to ride one! :)

I see one Mommy! (I have no idea who those people are who are staring adoringly at Olan, it just happens everywhere we go) ;)

Comic relief for bedrest Al?

Poor Alyson is on bedrest. She's very unhappy being on bedrest. 

I personally  really love the idea of bedrest. Not only do you have to stay in bed, but you have to feel GUILTY if you sneak out!?! You have no choice but to laze around and revel in it... or hate it and count down the seconds until it's over, as Alyson is doing ;)

She's putting in a good effort though and the baby is swimming around and getting as big as he can. It looks like he might receive marching orders for the 20th, but I'll keep you posted.

This is Olan trying to feed his Aunty Aly a cupcake. Nobody loves cupcakes like this kid, and said Aunty, so he was very eager to share when she expressed disappointment that she wasn't there at the the party.

Ummm... it's been a month?

Jeepers!

Well, what can I say? The last week was spent much like in the photo below. Olan had the worst gastro bug EVER. He was sick with it for a week... throwing up every ten hours or so. JUST when you thought he was going to be okay, barf city! Unfortunately, his grandparents both became infected, it was a very sad house for a bit. I felt so awful. To see this little man so sick is not a pretty sight. I don't know how on earth people handle it when they have really sick kids... the wee small tastes of it that I've had terrify me. The poor kid lost three pounds, which is substantial on a little frame like he has. But he has bounced back, and thanks to the wonderfulness of the most wonderful grandparents in the world, he was very well taken care of.
