A magical time

Finally, some kind of Christmas update.

Quite simply, it was the best Christmas ever, EVER. We were all healthy and happy the whole break long.

Isabelle and Olan were pure magic together. The adults could have watched them play all day long, everyday. You hear all about parallel play with really small kids but Olan and Isabelle really played together. They had their own private jokes, hugs & kisses and games. We were all struck by how much they LIKE each other. It's as if they know that they're cousins, and it's special. They treat each other differently then they do their other peers. What a joy to see.

There was much of the usual eating, drinking, laughing and not nearly enough sleeping (for some!). Olan's godparents also paid us a visit over the holiday, they came all the way from BC, so it was nice to spend a bit of time with them.

Olan continues to grow, and amaze, with each passing day. He settled back into his daycare routine without a hitch and has been busy learning the parts of his body, playing in vats of oatmeal, sponge painting, brushing his friends hair and learning row, row, row your boat. The words are piling up like snow... a favourite of both he and Isabelle is "Santa", said in an appropriately reverent voice. I'm loathe to put away our Christmas decorations because of it!
