On the water at last

What a day, Father's Day and Olan's 8 month anniversary. The weather finall cooperated after the fog burned off. Adam played a crappy round of golf but had a good time nonetheless. After he got back we headed to Paddlefest to test drive some kayaks and canoes. Mom tried this cool hobie cat kayak that has peddles and a sail and just flies along. Olan begged us to let him take a kayak out but unfortunately they didn't have any lifejackets small enough. We finished off with some towering chocolate ice creams and drove around to look at possible house locations for us... on the dark side.

Then we had the most glorious meal EVER. How can my mom keep one upping herself like this? We've decided that after Adam's birthday we'll need to live on porridge and stale bread to let our taste buds settle again. This time of year always kills us.

We had a buttery soft prime rib, yorkshire pudding, local asparagus with goat cheese, butternut squash and a delicious "Pete's like" salad- for all of those in the know. Good times indeed!

Olan stayed up just late enough to help his dad and grandfather open their gifts, but frankly he mostly just wanted to suck on the envelopes.

Here's a few pics
I wanna go!
