Boo!

We had an awesome Halloween :)

Olan went trick-or-treating dressed as chocolate bear (mostly a very sleepy hibernating bear). He wants to send a big thank-you to his Aunty Madeline for the costume. It was a little big but nice and cosy. We also had a skeleton costume but we decided that he can wait until next year to be scary.

We took him up to Martha and John's and they filled his little pail with treats. The rest of the night was spent with the boys in front of the fire at the end of the driveway smoking cigars and getting lots of beer smell kisses. I think that the poor little thing probably got a bit of a buzz :)

Then we had a great meal and Olan had his first sleepover. He was very happy to wake-up at his granparents and be handed right over to Gran for some morning snuggles. His Mom and Dad were happy to be handed a delicious breakfast and coffees :)

What a little cutie - can't wait to meet him. Only a few more sleeps. He may as well get used to the beer and cigars - don't think Grandpa or Dad, or Auntie Mer on the beer front, will be giving them up anytime soon.
Richard held Isabelle smelling of beer and cigarettes and said she may as well get used to his particular smell.
See you soon!
Auntie Aly and Isabelle.

some of my finest memories of youth are infused with the smell of booze and stale smoke... essential materials in memory molding.

spiff costume on that sprout.
